Situated: On the southwest of Bulgaria, in 160km from Sofia, in the foot of Pirin mountains - some of the most beautiful mountainous areas. Place is ethnographical reserve and national park. In 12km from Bansko, in the locality of "Shiligarnika", under the peak "Todorin vrah"(2746m) is isolated the zone for the sport and the tourism with the ski routes for the slalom and the giant slalom. The country side is a reserve. There are routes of all categories on the slopes - from the beginning skiers to the experienced masters. Instruction in the ski school is conducted in five classes according to the level of difficulty (A, B, C, D, E) in the individual order or by groups. Routes for the run to the long distances and biatlon are situated in "Chalin valog" (1100-1600m) and "bynderishka poliana" (1530m above sea level). The bases of the mountain-rescue service are located in Bansko and in the region "Shiligarnika".
